Eden Super King Storage Bed

A super king bed with a full storage base: the slatted top lifts on gas struts and the melamine base board below is divided into compartments, holding roughly what a roomy dresser would. It takes a NZ super king mattress of 183 x 203cm, on an overall footprint 194cm wide by 228cm long with a 108cm headboard.

The headboard is solid birch with plywood and MDF reinforcement, the rails plywood, all covered with polyurethane foam and fabric lining. Beech slats sit in a metal frame on the gas cylinder support system, which holds the mattress horizontal when opened. Use a mattress under 25cm thick and 65kg. Covers remove on Velcro, and the bed sits on black plastic legs.
