Products, Availability and Assembly

Due to popularity or an interruption of supply, some items may be out of stock or unavailable. It is also possible that all items on our website are not displayed in our store. While we aim to ensure that our website information is correct, sometimes errors do occur, and we apologise. Some items being shipped outside of Auckland will need assembly. We have a policy of making continuous product development and reserve the right to amend the specification of products without prior notice in relation to future sales.


A deposit of 50% is required to place forward-orders, and your balance is to be paid before delivery. Inspection before delivery can be arranged at our Parnell showroom should this be required. If you change your mind on a piece of furniture after paying a deposit, we will review this situation on a case by case basis.

Lead Time

If your furniture pieces are not currently available, your lead time will be 4-6 weeks for locally made furniture and 10-14 weeks if imported pieces, unless expressed otherwise, depending on what part of the world the piece comes from. We will always try to be as accurate as possible when giving you a lead time.


Auckland delivery costs will be charged as per the following table. Out of Auckland delivery costs will be quoted on a case by case basis and charged as such. Clients are welcome to arrange their own pick-up and delivery. All Bauhaus furniture will be delivered assembled where possible, unless requested otherwise by the customer. MEASURE. Please always double check the measurements of your proposed furniture piece with your house/ apartment doors, lifts, stairwells etc to make sure it will fit. Bauhaus takes no responsibility if the furniture you have ordered, cannot be carried into position manually by two men. Approval - Auckland Only Most showroom items can be taken home on APPRO if a customer lives within Auckland. We will take a credit card number as security. If an item needs to be delivered for APPRO, you will need to pay 50% of your standard delivery fee, and this is non-refundable. If the item is kept, then this payment will be taken off the final invoice including standard delivery charge. If the item does not work and needs to be returned, Bauhaus will arrange this at no extra charge. Any damage to the piece/s of furniture will be the responsibility of the customer. If damage occurs, the client has the choice of either repairing the item to original condition or purchasing the item. Any Appro may be refused at any time.


We guarantee to repair or replace any product with a manufacturing defect for a period of 3 years from date of purchase.

Bauhaus sofas have a 10 year warranty.

Provided the defect is not a result of normal wear and tear, or a natural characteristic of the materials used.

The warranty does NOT cover products used for a commercial purpose.

Furniture must be cared for in accordance with it's care instructions.

These guarantees do not cover fair wear and tear, neglect, abuse or misuse of your goods, loss or damage (including rusting and corrosion) due to unreasonable exposure to water, heat or weather; loss or damage due to fire, smoke, explosion, lightning, sunlight, infestation by animals or boring insects, or theft, accidental damage or loss caused by a third party.

All Furniture upholstery is NOT included in this warranty. This warranty is in addition to the rights granted by the Consumer Guarantees and Fair Trading Act 1993.

Returns and Refunds Policy

If you have ordered a normal stock item (an item we would normally have in the showroom) and have not yet arranged for it to be delivered, then you may cancel and receive a store credit. If you have ordered and received delivery of a normal stock item, we are happy for you to return it to us in a fully saleable (as new) condition still in it’s packaging within 14 days, and receive a store credit If you have placed a deposit on an item, and have then changed your mind, you will receive a store credit.
