Stellar Chair

Sander Mulder's Stellar chair for Toou takes its cues from the wooden school chairs of the 1950s: simple, functional, hard to break. At 53.5cm wide and 82cm tall it has a slightly broader stance than most cafe chairs, comfortable around a family dining table. Four colours: anthracite, black, cool grey and white.

It is a stackable monoblock of polypropylene reinforced with fibreglass, with star shaped volumes moulded into the rear and underside that emphasise its load bearing structure, the detail that gives the chair its name. There are no joints or fixings to loosen, and cleaning is a wipe with a damp cloth. An eco leather seat pad is optional.
